The Signal Hill Fire Department's only annual fundraiser is our Ribs and Raffle Day held on the last Sunday of June. This much anticipated event is supported by many generous members of our community. The Firefighters start cooking ribs as early as 7 am to have them hot and tender for the first wave of customers at the noon hour. The cooking continues until about three hundred sides are ready for pickup.
Raffle tickets are distributed to residents of the fire district a few weeks before the Ribs and Raffle Day . The raffle is supported by contributions from local businesses and others who donate prizes. Raffle tickets are also sold by fire department members. If you want to purchase tickets for the raffle and you don't receive them in your mail during early June, please contact any fire department member or stop by the fire house during normal business hours (8 am to 4 pm).
